The Veg-Box Scheme

Our veg-box scheme is a monthly subscription for a weekly selection of delicious seasonal vegetables. Across the year, members save 20–50% on our shop prices.

Your subscription is the best way to support us—it provides our most reliable income, gives us the security to grow and plan without worrying where crops will be sold, and builds community‑supported agriculture in Gwynedd.

What to expect through the seasons

We harvest each week and pack a fresh, varied selection that reflects the fields:

  • Spring: salad leaves, spring onions, radishes, spinach, chard, herbs.

  • Summer: tomatoes, cucumbers, courgettes, beans, peas, new potatoes.

  • Autumn: pumpkins & squash, leeks, cabbages, kale, broccoli.

  • Winter: kale, sprouts, cabbages, leeks, parsnips, stored squash.

When seasons or weather require, we top up from organic wholesalers to keep your bag and the shop varied and full.

Veg Scheme Summary and Rules

Collection Information

  • Veg boxes are collected from the Tyddyn Teg farm shop.

  • The shop is closed on Wednesdays.

  • We’re open every other day of the week, but the best days to collect are Thursday–Friday
    after our main Wednesday harvest.

  • The shop remains stocked through the weekend, but we can’t guarantee the full selection
    if you collect after Sunday.

  • Please bring your own box or bag.

  • Follow the instructions on the white board above the vegetables:

    • Blue = Basic boxes

    • Green = Bumper boxes

  • We’ll add your name to the weekly tick list – let us know which name you’d like us to use either via the gocardless payment or by email.

  • Tick your name under the correct week every time you collect. This helps us plan harvests and reduce waste.

Scheme Rules

  • The scheme runs on a monthly basis.

  • The minimum commitment is one calendar month (or the remainder of the month if you join mid-month).

  • Your subscription rolls over automatically each month.

  • If you wish to cancel, please tell us before the end of the month.

  • You can change your box size at the start of any new month—just let us know ahead of time.

  • If prices ever need to change, we will notify you in advance and you can choose whether to continue.

Solidarity Scheme

We want fresh, local food to be accessible to as many people as possible. Our community solidarity fund supports households who need reduced-cost veg boxes.

If you’re able, you can add a small donation to your monthly payment (via GoCardless or standing order).
Even £1 per month makes a meaningful difference.
If all customers added £1, we could provide eight households with half-price veg boxes
